Shift Premium Notice
ATTENTION ALL 35HR/WK CSEP SUPERVISORS
Students working the 35hr/wk Full Time Campus Student Employment Program are eligible for Shift Premium pay.
This means that if a student is scheduled to work between the hours of 5pm and midnight they are entitled to a shift Premium of $0.60/hour. Or from midnight to 6am are paid a shift premium of $0.75.
The attached form must be completed by the supervisor and signed in the approval section. Student Employees must also sign and date this form. The form must be attached to the students time sheet for the same pay period. Student Life will enter the account information and process the Shift Premium with the students time sheet in accordance with payroll.
APPENDIX G
The students shall be entitled to provisions of Article 7.5 Shift Premium. The College shall pay a shift premium of sixty (60) cents per hour for all regular hours worked between 5pm and midnight and seventy-five (75) cents per hour for all regular hours worked between midnight and 6am. where more than fifty per cent (50%) of the hours worked on any regular shift fall within a period attracting the higher premium, the higher premium shall be paid for all regular hours worked.
The 35hr/wk students are not eligible for over time as under the Campus Student Employment Program students are only eligible to work a maximum of 35 hours per week.
15hr/wk students are not under Appendix G and therefore are not eligible for Shift Premium.
