Our college’s commitment to environmental sustainability was recognized during the Hamilton Victory Gardens’ annual volunteer appreciation harvest.
Mohawk donated more than 90 kilograms of produce from our community garden to Neighbour to Neighbour Centre and the Mohawk Students’ Association food bank.

Smart Commute Week at Mohawk

During Smart Commute Week all students and staff are encouraged to ride a bike, take the bus, carpool or walk to Mohawk.
The Sustainability Office will be celebrating Smart Commute Week by hosting some exciting on-campus events! Stop by our booths in the C-Wing (near Starbucks) next week to learn about alternative options for commuting to Mohawk. Each day will have a unique theme, and some awesome prizes to be won.
Mohawk Community Garden Grow Unconventional Gardeners

Mohawk’s Sustainability Office decided to expand the project in 2014 due to increasing demand. The community garden now hosts 47 plots for students and community members to use.
