Bruins Blast Mountaineers In Women's Basketball

The Sheridan Bruins clawed the Mohawk Mountaineers 85-44 in OCAA women's basketball in Brampton Tuesday (Nov. 27).

The Bruins led 43-13 at half time.

Sam Pocrnic and Emily Andres had nine points each for Mohawk, while Alex Parente scored seven.

Courtni Martin had 23 points for Sheridan. Sydney Charvis added  22.

"it’s very frustrating seeing the same mistakes over and over again," said Mountaineers' head coach Kevin Duffy," but that’s what happens when you have a young team. We will continue to work hard to try and fix these problems, our character is being tested and we plan on showing up and making things better," Duffy said.

Mohawk dropped to 1-7 and Sheridan improved to 7-2.
