Yet Another OCAA Win For Mohawk Women's Volleyball

The beat goes on for the Mohawk women's volleyball team. The Mountaineers turned in a solid performance on the road, defeating the Sheridan Bruins 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, 25-18 in Oakville Thursday (Feb. 7).

It was the seventh straight win for Mohawk, bringing their record to 13-4, while Sheridan dropped to  7-10, as their three match win streak ended.

Jessica Heidbuurt led the Mountaineers with 12 kills, four blocks and two aces. Saylor Smith had nine kills and three blocks and Holly Clarke contributed 13 digs.

Mohawk head coach Matt Schnarr's comments were short and sweet. "We won a tough one on the road. I'm proud of the way we are competing."
