Dave Newell has been a licensed Industrial Millwright for over 20 years. He began his career
working for a small contractor doing equipment installations, throughout Ontario, and
transitioned into Manufacturing Plant Maintenance thereafter. He worked in Composite and
Automotive plants, gaining valued experience for two decades.
Dave began teaching in 2020 at Conestoga College on a part time basis. He moved to a full
time teaching role at Mohawk College in August of 2021. He enjoys passing on what he has
learned from his talented peers in the field and his own work history.
Outside of work hours Dave likes to spend time with his wife and two children - this usually
involves being at minor or professional sporting events
