France Fontana Hart is an accomplished multimedia journalist with over 25 years of experience as a television producer for news and lifestyle programming. She is passionate about storytelling and uses her experience to teach students the skills necessary to successfully work in this creative, competitive and exciting field. Over her career, she has worked for various media platforms including CTV, HGTV, Food Network, Life Network and House and Home Magazine.
France has been with Mohawk College since 2018, where she is currently a professor in the Journalism and Pre-Media programs. She is also the Program Coordinator for the Communications Media Practices and Creative Arts Business graduate programs at the college.
France has a Bachelor of Arts in History, as well as a Master of Arts in Journalism, both from the University of Western Ontario. Along with teaching, France is principal of her own media relations company, France & Co.
