Genevieve is a Professor of Community Studies here at Mohawk College and teaches in the Career Pathways and CICE (Community Integration through Co-operative Education) programs specifically. Her academic background is as an educator and Canadian historian. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Contemporary Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University and a master’s degree in history from the University of Waterloo. Genny’s Major Research Paper titled “A Fine Kettle of Fish”: Domestic Labour and the Context of Canadian Maritime Women’s Work in the Pre-industrial Rural Household, 1785-1830, examined the domestic work of Maritime women, and the various strategies women used to protect their families from the elements and illness.  Genny is an Ontario Certified Teacher, having earned a Bachelor of Education from Brock University.
