As the coordinator of General Arts & Science (GA&S), I work diligently with students to help them achieve their highest academic potential. In my role, I strive to create pathways for students that will lead to the college, university, and career opportunities of their choice. Opening the door to a future that a student may have thought was, once, impossible is my personal mission.
When students enter into the GA&S programs at Mohawk College, I often tell them that they are entering into a new, extended, family. The faculty and staff in the Department of Liberal Studies create invaluable mentoring connections with GA&S students. We are extremely proud of our GA&S alumni, and have a strong reputation for producing highly coveted graduates who perform exceptionally well in their post-grad endeavors.
In addition to my work as coordinator of GA&S, I have been teaching in the GA&S programs at Mohawk College since 2007. Presently, I teach Psychology, Critical Thinking, First Year Foundations, and Inquiry courses within the Department of Liberal Studies. In my spare time, I also develop post-secondary curriculum in the field of Developmental Psychology for Pearson and Nelson publishers. I believe it is important to stay current in my field, to ensure students receive an optimally engaging experience in my classroom.
I wish to congratulate you on taking the next step in your academic career and look forward to meeting you at Program Launch.
