ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training – HMNS10038
Learn to recognize risk and how to intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide, in this intensive, interactive and practice-dominated course. Suitable for mental health professionals, health care providers, pharmacists, teachers, counsellors, youth workers, police and correctional staff, school staff, clergy and community volunteers. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention – CONFMHN08
Crisis Prevention Institute NVCI Certification valid for 1 year upon successful completion. Participants must wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe, rubber soled, flat shoes. Physical exertion is required. Registrations will only be accepted from current Mohawk College Diploma or Certificate students. Fee includes workbook. Equivalent to: CONF10004. 12 hours.
