Security and Investigation

In Ontario private investigators and private security guards must hold a valid license. In order to write the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services' licensing tests and obtain a license, candidates must demonstrate that they have completed the required course work. Mohawk College's courses, which are outlined below, comply with the Ministry's requirements.

Upon successful completion of a course, Students are provided with a "Training Completion Number." The Ministry will require this number before a student is able to sit for the Ministry's tests. For more information on these tests and the Ministry's processes please visit the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services website (opens new window).
