Delivered in partnership with Advanced Gerontological Education (AGE Inc.) - opens new window this innovative, 4-module dementia-care curriculum based on a person-centred approach to care.  While it is required for students in Practical Nursing, PSW and PSW to PN, students enrolled in Recreation Therapy, Palliative Care and Gerontology programs will also benefit from the skills taught in this course. The curriculum is evidence-based, interactive, and practical. Understand responsive behaviours so you can effectively and appropriately respond in a workplace setting. GPA includes respectful, self-protective, and gentle redirection techniques for use when catastrophic behaviours do occur.
