Enhance your knowledge and skills in installation, and troubleshooting of industrial drives, the workhorse of today's automated systems. Industrial drives are essential components in conveyor systems, fans, pumps, and large manufacturing operations requiring precise control of motor speed and torque. Intended for electricians, electrical technologists and technicians, engineers and other automation professionals. Courses in this program skillfully combine theory and extensive "hands on" applications.

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent (Mohawk Academic Upgrading, GED) OR 19 years of age or older.

Course description: Enhance your understanding of drive control for DC motors. Analog and Digital DC Drive Regulator systems are covered. Drive performance and troubleshooting are introduced. Prerequisite: ASYS10001.

Course description: Concentrate on control theory for single phase and three phase AC motors, and Analog and Digital regulator systems. Prerequisite: ASYS10002.

Course description: DC electrical/electronic terminology, concepts and characteristics, and safe procedures for working with DC electrical/ electronic circuits. Prerequisite: Grade 12 Math or equivalent.
