  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent (Mohawk Academic Upgrading, GED) OR 19 years of age or older.

INSTRE155 Instrumentation 2 For Tradesmen Cover the terminology, concepts, principles and computations used by engineers and technicians to specify analysis and maintain instrumentation systems. Expand on concepts of instrumentation and measurements, discuss fundamental theory and operating principles of final control elements and process controllers in industry. Prerequisite: INSTRE047 or equivalent.
INSTRE131 Instrumentation 3 For Tradesmen Benefit from the theory of modern DCS Systems with a hands on component with an ABB DCS (Distributed Control System) for industrial process control. Examine basic theory, controller configuration and operator station configuration tools. Prerequisite: INSTRE155.
