Program Description

Are you employed or seeking employment in the manufacturing sector working with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems? This program may be for you! The PLC has evolved to become the central component of all automation systems today. To remain competitive in world markets, manufacturers continue to deploy more automated equipment controlled by PLCs. Personnel with the skills developed in this program will be needed to design, program and maintain PLC-based automation installations.

Gain the training needed to work in this field on several different models, and in all aspects, of PLCs. Participants will work with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 5000 software. Significant time will be spent on hands-on exercises.

Recommended Requirements

  • Basic understanding of computer programming, electrical circuitry, particularly control circuits.
  • One of the following electrical/electronic programs: Apprenticeship Certificate, Journeyman License, Technical Diploma, Degree or equivalent.
