Admission Requirements

For credit courses leading to a credential, you require a secondary school diploma or equivalent (Mohawk Academic Upgrading, GED) or you must be 19 years of age or older on the day the course starts.

The college reserves the right to restrict enrolment for most general education and non-credit Continuing Education courses to those 19 years of age and over.

International students who are not permanent residents of Canada may require permission to register from Citizenship and Immigration Canada to study at Mohawk College. Visit the International Students website for more information. Students living outside of Canada, who are registering for online courses, do not need approval but must register by fax or mail.  International fees will apply.

Some programs require you to apply and be accepted before registering and/or have additional, specific admission requirements which are listed on the program specific web pages.

Some courses have specific prerequisites which are detailed in each course description. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have met any prerequisites listed.
