Academic Upgrading - Mohawk College, Fennell Campus
Academic Upgrading is a flexible program designed to help you achieve your college, apprenticeship and/or employment goals. Our courses are designed for students who did not complete high school and need required courses (English, Math or Science) to apply for a post-secondary program or those wanting to refresh their skills. This program provides GED preparation and up to grade 12 equivalency in English, Science and Math.
Academic and Career Entrance (ACE)
Academic and Career Entrance Distance is a free, government-funded upgrading program for adults in Ontario who would like to take online courses to prepare for college, apprenticeship, or employment. These courses are accepted as OSSD equivalent by Colleges and Apprenticeships for purposes of admission.

City School - Mobile Unit, various locations and online
City school offers roadblock-free access to education around the community through its mobile units. They provide free post-secondary and employment courses to community members. You may qualify if you’re 19+ with little to no post-secondary education.
Continuing Education at Mohawk College offers flexible learning options to suit your schedule. Explore your professional, practical, or personal interests in a broad range of areas of study.

This program is taught in American Sign Language (ASL) for adults who are Deaf, Deafened or Hard-of-Hearing and are looking to prepare for the General Education Diploma (GED) test, gain requirements to apply for college study or improve skills needed for the workforce. This program is also taught in spoken English!
