Knowing where to start after experiencing sexual assault and sexualized violence can be challenging. This week's "Owning Your Voice" lunch drop-in will host the Student Rights and Responsibilities Specialist, Natalie Lafluer, for a safe discussion on what various topics such as confidentiality and the reporting process, available supports that are found on campus and within the Hamilton community, as well as information on how to be a supportive friend, family member or partner for a loved one.

Owning your Voice is coordinated by the Gender-Based Violence Education Coordinator with support from two Student Peer Educators as part of the ongoing initiatives to improve the safety and wellbeing of Mohawk students by promoting a culture of consent and respecting boundaries as everyday practice.

Due to COVID restrictions, these chats will be held virtually for now and participants are not required to turn on their videos.

To register, email consent [at] mohawkcollege.ca. Also, if you have any questions, you can send them in advance and they will be addressed during the chats.
