You are invited to attend Teaching for Success, a two-day, paid, professional development program for part-time, partial load, and sessional faculty or instructors who will be teaching in the upcoming Winter 2019 semester.

The goal of the program is to provide new faculty and instructors with the essentials for college teaching and student success. The program is jam-packed with workshops and active learning facilitated by experts from the Centre for Teaching & Learning and across the College.
Over the two days, you will explore teaching at Mohawk, including:
- Outcomes-based education
- The science of learning
- Universal design for learning
- Aligning assessments to outcomes
- Active learning techniques
- Lesson planning
- Classroom management
- Educational technology
- Supports for faculty and students
One of the highlights of the program is the faculty panel where experienced faculty share their strategies for classroom management. The International and Accessible Learning departments, as well as Learning Support Centre, Library, and Centre for Teaching & Learning will provide information sessions.

Attendance will be taken before each morning and afternoon session and submitted to your departments so you can get paid by separate contract (i.e. $180/day).
