Mohawk Math Engineering Competition 2017

Mathematical Modeling
May 13

2017 theme: Mathematical Modeling

Students often ask the question "When am I going to need this?” when they study mathematics. Our Mohawk Math and Engineering Contest is trying to answer that question.

This contest will introduce students to different applications of mathematics in engineering areas and encourage them to consider future careers in engineering technology.

We will provide sample questions for each discipline in engineering: Civil and Architecture, Chemical, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science.

This year we hosted 29 students from 9 different schools:

Guido De Bres Christian High School Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School

Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School

Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School

St. Mary Catholic Secondary School
