Gurdwara Shaheedgarh Sahib – Experiential Learning Opportunity

In September, Mohawk College welcomed over 3,500 International students from around the world.  Many of these students are from regions where Sikhism is commonly practiced.  In consultation with many faculty over the past year, we’ve learned there is an aspiration to learn more about the cultures of international students.

We are EXCITED to offer support to faculty and staff by inviting YOU to participate in a Professional Developmental EXPERIENCE at Gurdwara Shaheedgarh Sahib Hamilton!

  • Participants will go on a guided and interactive tour of the Temple with an opportunity to ask questions
  • After the tour, participants will be engaged in a discussion with facilitators regarding culture, practices, and celebrations
  • Further discussion will take place regarding how faculty and staff can best support Sikh students
