Join us on March 3rd 11:00am – 1:00pm in E126 to learn about the AR/VR field from Jacyln Nelson, the PM of Mohawks XR Lab!
We will answer questions like: what is the difference between Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Extended Reality? What are the real-world applications of XR in training and education?
Try out the equipment available on campus!
VR Experiences at this event:
- Ohneganos VR: A VR experience retelling a version of the Haudenosaunee creation story; travel through time on a canoe down the Grand River and witness the world around you change.
- VR Escape Rooms: VR Escape rooms for Nursing, Math and Leeds. Users must solve puzzles in a specific subject area to escape the room!
- Power Engineering VR: Users will take the necessary steps to cold start a boiler.
- Cell Phone Tower VR: Currently in development. Test out the beta version of this VR experience which has the user complete the necessary safety checks before climbing a cell phone tower.
- Hololens: Test out an anatomy app in the Hololens 2.
The XR lab has a limited capacity; only 20 people can be in the lab at one time! Come on by and we'll see you there :)
