MyMohawk FAQ

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing quality services at Mohawk College, there are a few changes you'll need to be aware of to access the new portal:

  • Your current firstname.lastname username will be changed to your MohawkID starting 5:00pm June 23rd.  This will take a few hours before all accounts are transitioned to the MohawkID. 
  • Starting Saturday June 24th, if you are trying to access Mohawk systems, use your MohawkID.  


MohawkID Information

What is my MohawkID?

  • Applicants: it's your 9-digit student ID number found on your letter of acknowledgement, offer letter and fee statement
  • Students: it’s your 9-digit student ID (can be found on your ONE Card)
  • Employees: it’s your 9-digit employee ID

What if I forget my MohawkID or are having trouble logging in?

  • Applicants: it's your 9-digit student ID number found on your letter of acknowledgement, offer letter and fee statement
  • Students: it’s your 9-digit student ID (can be found on your ONE Card)
  • Employees: it’s your 9-digit employee ID

If you forget your MohawkID or you are having trouble logging in email the Helpdesk or call 905-575-2199 (toll free 1-866-601-8445). Helpdesk employees will verify your identity and provide your 9-digit MohawkID. 

What password will I use on MyMohawk?

The password you currently use for eLearn and Webmail.

Can I change my MohawkID?

No, it cannot be changed. Your MohawkID is system generated and unique to you.

What if I forgot my password?

If you forget your password visit mypassword.mohawkcollege.ca

How will I log into online systems and applications on June 26?

Login to MyMohawk at mymohawk.mohawkcollege.ca

The tables below show how employees, faculty and students will log into commonly used Mohawk online systems after MyMohawk is launched on June 26.

  • Some systems and applications are not listed below, for example, Self Service and MAP (My Academic Progress). You will continue to access these systems via the new portal, MyMohawk, on June 26.
  • Many online systems currently use the Mohawk single sign on page to log in, indicated below with an asterisk (*). This page will continue to be used when MyMohawk launches.

How do I login to my workstation computer with my MohawkID?

Follow the steps below to switch to your MohawkID for your username on staff computers.

  1. Logoff or restart your computer then click 'Switch User'

  3. Enter your MohawkID in the username field and your regular computer password in the password field the hit Enter.

How do I update my Skype for Business Phone with my MohawkID?

When your account changes over to your MohawkID, you will see a yellow warning symbol at the bottom of your phone's screen.

To correct this and restore full functionality to your phone, you must enter your MohawkID and password into Skype for Business.

  1. Make sure Skype for Business is running and the window is open on your screen. If you do not see Skype for Business, click Start and type "Skype for Business" into the search box. It will appear as the first result.

  2. Press the key below the yellow triangle on your phone, then press the Select (round check mark) key to open Notifications.
  3. Press the Select key to open the first notification.
  4. Press the Yes key. You will now enter your MohawkID and password in Skype for Business.
  5. You should see a white box pop up that will ask you for your email, user name, and password. Make sure the fields are filled in as you see below. Click OK when done.

  6. When your phone signs in successfully, you will be asked to create a 6-digit unlock PIN on the desk phone.

    You can enter any 6 digits you wish. This PIN DOES NOT AFFECT voice mail or PINs associated with any other system or function. It is used only to manage the phone when Skype for Business is not available.

 

How can I use my Mohawk email on mobile devices?

Below are the settings needed to configure mail clients on mobile devices as of June 24, 2017. Mohawk College recommends the Outlook App on Apple and Android devices.

Student Settings

    How do I connect to Mohawk-Wifi using MohawkID?

    Below are the instructions needed to sign into Mohawk-Wifi using your MohawkID on various different operating systems.

    macOS

    1. At the top-right corner of the desktop, click the Airport icon, then click Mohawk-Wifi.

    2. Enter your MohawkID (e.g. 000101060) credential and click OK.

    3. Click Continue at the Verify Certificate warning to connect to the internet.
      It may take up to a minute for this warning to appear.

    Windows 7

    1. In the bottom-right corner of the desktop, click on the Wireless Networks icon. Select Mohawk-WiFi and click Connect.

    1. In the bottom-right corner of the desktop, click the Wireless Networks icon.

    1. On the Home Screen, touch Settings.
