The Ontario Bridging Participant Assistance Program (OBPAP) is only available to students with financial need enrolled in a non-OSAP approved Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration (MCI) funded bridge programs with direct costs (tuition, books and equipment). Bursary assistance is only available during the bridge training period for eligible program commencing between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020.
To participate in this program, you must be accepted into the Bridging for Internationally Educated Nurses (BIEN) program.
Before you start:
- Set aside 25-30 minutes to complete this application (once you start the application you cannot save and finish later)
- Gather any financial information that may help you calculate your monthly expenses/income
- You will be required to upload all requested documentation once you submit this application. Please ensure you have ALL requirements from the Document Submission Checklist. Upload instructions will be sent to you via the confirmation email once this application is submitted
Students applying with less than 10 days to the course(s) start date will have to pay up-front to be registered while the application is being reviewed. If approved for funding, a refund will be issued after the 3rd week of classes.
