The Learning Support Centre houses four areas of support for student academic learning. Each area is facilitated with a peer-to-peer, student leadership model.
These areas are:
- Content Peer Tutoring
- Writing & Communications Support
- Math Support
- Study Skills & Student Success
Overall, the purpose of the Centre is to promote student success through differentiated spaces (individual, small and large group) for both student study and the delivery of peer-to-peer support services.
The Learning Support Centre provides services at the Fennell, IAHS, and Stoney Creek Campus.
We are committed to the learning and development of both the students who use our services and the student leaders who support the delivery of these services.
Through 1:1 and group peer support at the Learning Support Centre, students will demonstrate confidence in their knowledge of course content and transferable critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
Through working within the Learning Support Centre and engaging in ongoing training, Student Leaders will develop professional leadership attributes by enhancing critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
