What’s your go-to productivity trick?
Old-fashioned paper checklists/To-Do Lists, the Pomodoro Technique (25-minute intervals of work separated by five-minute breaks), and Lo-Fi music in the background.
What energizes you at work?
Coffee and pleasant conversation with students and co-workers.
How do you typically spend your leisure time?
On the weekends, I head up to my trailer 2 hours outside of Hamilton and spend time in nature; it’s located in a conservation area! Also playing Animal Crossing on my Nintendo Switch.
Favourite dish to cook?
I love baking – my new favourite thing is using a bread machine. Cooking would be spiralized vegetable “Pad Thai” and improvising a Hot & Sour soup with instant ramen.
What are 5 things you can't live without?
My family, friends, significant other, cat, and chocolate.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I love post-it notes. I always write my tasks and to-do lists on sticky notes and post them on the edges of my computer monitor. I love removing them when I complete my task.
What was one of your first jobs?
I was a peer tutor in college. It was the start of my career in education. Being a peer tutor in college taught me that teaching someone is the best way to learn, and it helped me prepare for tests.
What energizes you at work?
I always enjoy meeting our students. Students are the reason we are here and do the work we do. Meeting and talking with students is a very rewarding part of my job.
How do you prefer to start your day?
That’s easy. With gratitude and a big cup of coffee!!

Colour-coded to-do list! Red for most urgent.
What was your first job?
Bath and Body Works in a busy mall while in high school. We got a free candle every month, and I’m still stocked up years later! I loved this job!
What is a TV show that you love to make a cameo in?
Survivor! I’d love the visit the campsite and the challenges without actually playing the game.
How do you typically spend your leisure time?
Travelling, reading (my favourite author is Mary Kubica), yoga, and watching 90 Day Fiancé.

The Learning Support Centre employs over 100 student leaders to support you with your studies. These students have a GPA of 80% or higher in their tutor subjects and are available to support students at Fennell, IAHS, and Stoney Creek.
