Coming to Mohawk as a mature student, Julie Thompson ‘20 was inspired to pursue a career in the field when she saw how therapeutic recreation helped a family member.
At 23 weeks pregnant, Debbie gave birth to her son, who required medical attention. inspired by the treatment her son received. The experience made her want to give back – leading her the Personal Support Worker program.
