Why Mckeil School of Business

Kennedy McKeil

The McKeil School of Business was officially named in 2011 after a large campus renewal donation made by the McKeil family. The business school, with over 2,600 students in 20 programs, it is the first to be named for a Mohawk benefactor. “It’s an opportunity to give back our community in a very, very extraordinary way and I wanted to thank Hamilton for all the opportunities that it has given to me and my family.” – Blair McKeil, CEO, McKeil Marine

The Advantage

Business students at Mohawk College’s Fennell campus can now bounce their plans and ideas off one of Hamilton’s successful entrepreneurs. McKeil Marine chair and CEO, Blair McKeil, is the college’s first ever entrepreneur-in-residence. Mohawk College past president, Rob MacIsaac, called McKeil Marine a “remarkable native Hamilton success story, whose owner is now sharing his expertise with our business students.”
