    Additional Information

There is no formal audition requirement for applicants to the Applied Music Preparatory Program. Students should, however, be proficient enough on at least one instrument (or their voice) to be able to apply the theoretical knowledge they gain during the program in improvisation and practical settings.

The college has some instruments available for students to use in class. These are:

    • Upright basses
    • Upright and grand pianos
    • Drum kits and various percussion instruments (students have to provide their own cymbals, mallets and sticks)

For all other instruments, we expect students to provide their own. Rentals for instruments are available through various organizations in the area, and the faculty can help set this up for students if need be.
