The Learning Support Centre is looking for responsible, resourceful, innovative, and dedicated students to enhance the centre's growing Student Leadership team.

We are proud to offer academic support to Mohawk College students through our Student Leaders. Our Student Leader positions include:

  • Peer Tutors (course content and writing)
  • Peer Assisted Study Session Leaders (facilitate study sessions for targeted courses)
  • Student Ambassadors (Front Desk Receptionist)
  • Student Success Mentor (student success workshop facilitator)
  • Social Media Ambassadors (promote our services through various platforms)

What You Offer (Qualifications)

  • A preference of 80% GPA or higher (all students encouraged to apply)
  • A satisfactory reference from a Mohawk College instructor
  • A minimum of 80% or higher in courses willing to support
  • Be in second semester or higher
  • Passion for helping others and engaging with peers
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliable, responsible, and resilient
  • Respectfully able to engage with a diverse student population
