DBARC Rules and Regulations

  1. Full Time Fees Paid Students: Mohawk College students who have paid their David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre fee and Athletic fee are eligible for a David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre membership for the duration of their fees paid term only. Please contact a David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre Representative for further clarification on student fees paid memberships as well as details on all other membership options. 
  2. DBARC Facility Rules, Regulations and Schedules: The member agrees to abide by all membership rules, regulations, policies and schedules of the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre. Management reserves the right to amend these rules, regulations, policies and schedules without notice. Misuse of this membership or any of its facilities and equipment may result in the membership being revoked. 
  3. DBARC Etiquette Statement: The David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre is a facility for students, staff, faculty, alumni and community to enjoy! Together, we are DBARC members. Our values guide our actions and decisions so we are future ready, always learning for life. Together we will pledge to abide by the DBARC Fitness Centre and Gymnasium etiquette policies as stated in the facility. 
  4. Access Card: All members must have a valid Mohawk College OneCard to gain access to the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre. If the member’s OneCard is lost or damaged, members will be granted access on a one time basis, with proper ID but will be required to update their OneCard before the next visit and are responsible for any costs incurred.
  5. Personal Items, Food and Music: At no time will any personal items be allowed in the Gymnasium area or Fitness Centre sections of the DBARC facility. With the exception of sealable water bottles, no food or beverages are permitted. Members must use ear phones when listening to music on personal devices.   Members are urged to refrain from bringing valuables into the premises. The David Braley Athletics and Recreation Centre and its operators are not responsible for any property that may be lost, stolen, or damaged. 
  6. Lockers: Day use lockers are provided at no cost for the use and convenience of all members. It is the responsibility of the users to provide their own lock. Management will remove any articles left in a day use locker overnight. 
  7. Dress Code: Athletic dress code is in effect. All members must change into proper athletic clothing and footwear. The following clothing is not permitted when accessing the Fitness Center and/or Gymnasiums; blue jeans, dress pants, cut-offs or other street wear, flip flops/open-toed shoes.  Shirts must be worn at all times. Mid-section must be covered. Indoor athletic shoes must be worn at all times, with the exception of Yoga classes. 
  8. Special Occasions/DBARC Facility Closures: The member understands the Fitness Centre and/or Gymnasiums may be closed and/or unavailable for use by members due to special events or circumstances. Management reserves the right to limit Fitness Centre and/or Gymnasium usage on special occasions.
  9. Program Cancellations: The David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre reserves the right to cancel any program or activity without notice to members or program participants. 
  10. Age Requirements: Membership at the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre is available for adults age 16 and older or registered students, unless participating in special supervised programming. 
  11. Change of information: Members shall notify the Membership Desk in writing within thirty (30) days of any change of name or contact information.
     

CANCELLATION: To cancel your membership you will need to complete a cancellation form at membership desk providing 30 days notice to terminate your membership.
