Co-Founder, Raise Awareness, Advocate and Distribute (RAD)

Leen Alramlawi is an advocate for women’s mental, physical, and reproductive health. Her desire for societal change has inspired her tireless work to advance women’s rights on a local and international level.

Leen is co-founder of the non-profit initiative Raise Awareness, Advocate and Distribute (RAD). Her advocacy work at RAD focuses on women empowerment, breaking the stigma around menstruation, and distributing menstrual hygiene products to those in need in Amman, Jordan, with plans to expand programming to other countries.

Previously, Leen was vice-president of FemCare Community Health Initiative in Hamilton, which also tackled the issue of negative stigma surrounding menstruation. For over three years, she worked with the non-profit organization on a mission to rewrite the narrative through advocacy, education, and community health promotion.

In addition to graduating from Mohawk College, Leen is also a graduate of the paralegal program at TriOS College.
