Halton Dual Credits - HCDSB

These Dual Credit courses are open to students of the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) who are close to high school graduation.

Courses that are offered at specific high schools are only open to students who attend those high schools.

All registrations MUST be completed through your high school's Student Services or Guidance department. Contact your Student Services or Guidance department to see which option is best for you.

Below is a sample of the Dual Credits we have run in recent years.  Please contact your high school's Student Services of Guidance department to see if these courses are still available.

Technology Bridge - Construction

Location: Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School

College Credit 1: Introduction to Construction (BLDG10016)

Course Description: Get comfortable working with tools on plumbing, carpentry, and electrical projects. This course is great for people looking to build confidence working on home improvement or to discover a career in the skilled trades.

College Pathways: Various; this course is designed to give students experience in a variety of trades, which will help each student decide the best college or apprenticeship pathway for him or her

OYAP - Child and Youth Worker

Location: Mohawk College - Fennell Campus

Students in OYAP Dual Credits MUST have a Registered Training Agreement before enrolling.  Students who successfully complete an OYAP Dual Credit will complete all coursework requirements of their Level 1 Apprenticeship training.  Contact your high school's Student Services, Guidance, or Co-operative Education department to find out about OYAP programs available to you.

Course Description: Complete unit conversions. Convert between systems of measurement. Convert between fractions and decimals. Solve algebraic equations. Apply trigonometry.
