Karen Davis is Professor/Coordinator of Mohawk’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program. Karen is an exemplar employee who displays passion and enthusiasm in all areas of her job. She acts as Coordinator for several areas in the ECE program, including the Early Childhood Education Diploma, Early Childhood Education Intensive Diploma and Child Development Practitioner Apprenticeship program. Karen is very committed to community engagement and has been an active participant in various committees related to early childhood education, including Evenstart Committee, Halton Region; Recruitment and Retention Committee, City of Hamilton; and Best Start Coordinating Committee, City of Hamilton.

Mladen Ivankovic, C.E.T. ‘18 didn’t have the easiest journey to his education. “We came to Canada as refugees in 1994,” he says. “It was just my two parents, my sister, and I. My parents came here with 80 Deutschmarks (approximately $67 CDN at the time) and we [arrived in] Quebec to restart our lives.”
