Executive Vice President, Integrated Infrastructure Solutions, Green Infrastructure Partners Inc.

David Colle is excelling in his career in construction, leading complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.

David, who graduated from Architectural Technology in 1997, became Executive Vice President of Integrated Infrastructure Solutions (IIS) at Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. (GIP) in April 2022.

David has over 20 years of experience in the Heavy Civil Construction Industry, in all market segments, including Design-Build (“DB”), Public-Private Partnerships (“P3”) and Traditional Design-Bid-Build (“DBB”) in the Federal, Provincial, Municipal, Residential, and ICI sectors.

He has extensive experience with complex, large-scale projects, including critical provincial transportation infrastructure, and in many facets of the construction management field including project estimating and management.

GIP is one of Canada’s largest and most diversified infrastructure companies. It is a highly vertically integrated company that specializes in heavy civil and specialty construction services and has delivered thousands of projects for private and public sector clients.

The company has a focus on road building and site development, including underground works like sewers and watermains and concrete/ asphalt pavements. GIP also supplies construction materials for the heavy civil construction industry, including asphalt, aggregates, asphalt cement, and pre-cast concrete pipe and structures.

David is responsible for providing overall leadership and strategic direction to the entire IIS business and is responsible for maintaining profit and loss accountability. The IIS business employs more than 3,500 employees during the peak construction season and has annual revenues in excess of $1.3 billion.

He has also been a key company lead who has been instrumental in ensuring the successful amalgamation of the former Coco Paving Inc. and GFL Infrastructure Inc. to form GIP in 2022, and integration of Aecon Transportation East Division (acquired in 2023) and Interpaving Limited (acquired in 2023).

David serves on GIP’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) committee, leading the effort to crystallize GIP’s plan to contribute to a net-zero carbon economy. He is also a leading member of GIP’s efforts to promote its progressive Indigenous relations initiatives.

His volunteer positions have included serving as president of the Heavy Construction Association of Windsor, as director of the Windsor Construction Association, and his current role as a director of the Ontario Road Builders Association.

He earned Gold Seal Certification in project management from the Canadian Construction Association in 2004.

Prior to his current position, David served as the General Manager/ Assistant General Manager of the Southwest Region for Coco Paving Inc. (now part of GIP), and Project Manager for Chamberlain Construction Services Limited.
