What is a MohawkID?

Your MohawkID is your 9-digit student number. It is NOT your email address.

MohawkID Example: 000101060 [at] (000101060[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca)

It's used to access all services at Mohawk College, including MyCanvas, email, wifi, MyMohawk, Office365, MohawkAPPS, and more.

How do I reset or change my MohawkID password?

Use Microsoft Online Password Reset (new window) and enter your MohawkID [at] (MohawkID[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca) (e.g. 000101060 [at] (000101060[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca))

Accessing your Student Email Account

How do I access my Mohawk email?

Students can access their e-mail in several different ways. When corresponding with other members of the college community, it is expected that you use your Mohawk College email account.

Access using a web browser

  1. Go to your cloud mailbox through Microsoft Outlook login (new window). Bookmark this link for later use.
  2. Enter your student number in this format: 000101060 [at] (000101060[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca)
    You must enter your student number followed by
  3. Enter your password

Important: DO NOT use your student number as an email address. You will not receive emails. Your proper email address contains your first and last name. Examples are given below.

What is my Mohawk email address?

Your Mohawk e-mail address uses your first and last name and may include numbers or dashes. Do not use your 9-digit student number as an e-mail address.

Virtual Learning


MyCanvas is a Learning Management System that is designed to provide and receive course information in a secure manner.

  1. Login to MyCanvas using the following website:
  2. Enter your MohawkID
  3. Select the course you wish to explore by clicking on the title of the course
  4. To switch to another course, click “Dashboard” on the left side and then select the title of the course

You can also download the MyCanvas application to Android and Apple iOS devices. Search “Canvas Student” on the Play Store (Android) or App Store (Apple). Sign in using your MohawkID.

Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) is a subscription-based service offered for free to current Mohawk staff, faculty, and students. It combines the familiar Microsoft Office desktop applications along with Office online - cloud-based versions of your favourite Office tools.

What's included?

  • A full, installed Office experience across PCs, Macs, Windows tablets, iPad, Android tablets, and most mobile devices
  • Includes up-to-date desktop versions of Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher, Teams and more
  • 5 PC or MAC installs, 5 tablets, and 5 phones
  • 1 TB of cloud storage on OneDrive for Business
  • Access to online versions of Office apps


Visit and log in with your Mohawk College account to access Microsoft Office.

  • Make sure to sign in using the following information:

    • Password: *Same as your MohawkID*

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams is an online collaboration platform that enables students and teachers to connect with each other using audio and video calling, to share files with each other, and to provide 1:1 or group-based academic support.

Note: it is mandatory to turn on your camera when you are having 1:1 interaction with your teacher. It is preferred that you have your camera on for all synchronous class time to engage with your teachers and other class participants.

Download Microsoft Teams to your computer by visiting

Once downloaded and installed, sign in to Microsoft Teams using the following information:
