Lacey VanEvery is a committed health care professional who works hard to see positive health outcomes for Indigenous people and keep her community safe. A member of the Cayuga Nation, Turtle Clan, she is Haudenosaunee from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory.

Lacey is an assistant nurse manager working with Indigenous Services Canada, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Ontario Region. Prior to this, she was the nurse in charge of Gane Yohs Community Health Centre including Ohsweken Public Health. That role put her on the frontlines of the battle against COVID-19 and the public face of public health, through community updates, interviews and podcasts.

Dedicated to bettering her community, Lacey has served on a number of committees, task forces, and initiatives to advance research and health of Indigenous people and is an active mentor for Indigenous students and youth.
