Joseph Apps
CEO, Joe Apps Technology Support
Joseph Apps is an award-winning entrepreneur and committed community volunteer. A graduate of Mohawk College’s Computer Systems Technology – Software Development program in 2016, he founded Joe Apps Technology Support that same year. Since then, the Burlington-based business has grown to a team of 15 and now serves more than 1,200 clients.
Joe Apps Technology Support offers a range of IT services, including cybersecurity, helpdesk support, compliance management, hardware, cloud services, and network services. The firm’s website has an active blog that offers IT advice, explainers, and trend stories, covering topics such as AI technologies, business processes and automation. In March of 2025 Joe Apps Technology Support acquired Paronubi LTD, further expanding its expertise and services.
His entrepreneurial roots date back to childhood when he started a candy shop in primary school and then worked out of his parents’ garage to create a skateboard shop with friends in high school. While at Mohawk, he owned a brick-and-mortar electronics refurbishment shop in downtown Hamilton.
He is a member of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce board and chair of the Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs (YEP) division of the Chamber. He is also a board member of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and served for three years as a director of the Erin Mills Soccer Club.
Joseph is an entrepreneur in residence at Mohawk’s Centre for Entrepreneurship and participated in a roundtable discussion in 2024 hosted by Innovation Factory that featured cabinet ministers Filomena Tassi and Marci Ien, and local MPs Lisa Hepfner and Chad Collins.
Dedicated to his community, he’s collaborated with the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and the Burlington Public Library in their MakerSpace, and his company is a member of the Founder’s Circle of the United Way Halton & Hamilton’s Local Love Community Match.
A frequent guest on local business podcasts, news programs, and webinars, Joseph shares his expertise on technology issues and building resiliency into small businesses.
In 2022, he was named Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and in 2024, he was recognized with a Business Link Media 40 Under Forty award.
His company has achieved the Platinum Award in the Computer Repair and Service category of the Burlington Community Votes for three consecutive years and is a Diamond winner for the Hamilton Spectator’s Reader's Choice Award since 2020. Joe Apps Technology Support Inc. was also a winner at the 2023 FirstOntario 1Awards.
