Canada-Ontario Job Grant
Meet your workforce needs by upskilling your current workforce, or train to hire, with support from the Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG), a joint investment from the governments of Ontario and Canada. COJG can cover 2/3 of your training costs, up to $10,000 per employee, and is available to small, medium, and large businesses across Ontario. Co-operative Education Tax Credit
The Co-operative Education Tax Credit (CETC) is a refundable tax credit that is available to employers who hire students enrolled in a co-operative education program at an Ontario college or university. Riipen - FuturePath (wage subsidy)
FuturePath is a government-supported program that connect employers with postsecondary students for short paid projects/work terms/placements (up to 420 hours). Employers must pay 50% of the hourly rate of $23.24 per hour to have the program cover the remaining 50% (ie. $1400 to student > $700 paid by employer, $700 paid by FuturePath).

Employers are invited to request to match their projects to the Fall 2026 Cohort. A reminder that students will not begin applying to projects until September 14.

Student Work Placement Program
Funded by the Government of Canada, the Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) offers wage subsidies for employers hiring students involved in a work-integrated learning opportunity, such as a co-op work term. Funding is provided by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and is administered by various delivery partners
Each delivery partner provides 50% wage subsidy (up to $5,000 maximum). Each delivery partner also has their own eligibility and approval process, visit each link to determine application information.
