LINC

Program Highlights:

  • Develop Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading skills for academic success, everyday life and the workplace.
  • Access to computer labs, library and resource centres to assist learning and career planning
  • Direct pathway to postsecondary studies at Mohawk College 
  • Cultural orientation
  • Transportation assistance may be available to eligible students
  • Intake/date: continuous intake (Mondays only)
  • Class time: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:15 pm
  • Full-time and part-time classes available
  • Duration: 13-week semesters

 

Full-time Day Classes

  • LINC classes for students with Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 to 8
    New students admitted every Monday
  • LINC for Youth - Photography and Video Projects for students with CLB 2 to 6

  • LINC for Academic Preparation - CLB 6 to 8
    Preparation for college and university. Learn more

 

Part-time Classes

  • Listening Course CLB 5
    Monday and Wednesday afternoons 
  • Writing Course CLB 5
    Tuesday and Thursday afternoons   

This FREE program is for you if:

  • You are a permanent residents of Canada or protected persons (with Notice of Decision)
  • Meet the minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) required for the program

Job Skills for the Food Industry

Improve your English communication skills while preparing for the workplace in the food industry field!

 

Program Highlights:

  • Develop oral and written communication skills

  • Develop skills for working with others

  • Participate in a hands-on simulated workplace cooking project

  • Intake/date: continuous intake (Mondays only)

When and where:

  • Mondays from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm and Thursdays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
