Non-Academic Requirements (NARs)
Students wishing to complete a clinical/placement course must successfully complete a number of NARs requirements in the term prior to registering for a clinical course. You will register for the appropriate preplacement course (HLTH 10233) and then login to MyCanvas to access PrePlacement clearance. There you will find all the information.
Preplacement/Clinical Service (HLTH-10223) is ONLY available to students registered in a Continuing Education (Health and Nursing) programs.

Clinical Requirements
Each clinical placement will have a variety of requirements that must be met prior to the student attending the clinical site. These will include:
- successful completion of all theory courses
- completion of Preplacement/Clinical Service course (HLTH10223)
NOTES:
- You must complete and submit your clinical placement request form on registering for your clinical course.
- Clinical experiences offered based on Mohawk College clinical placement agreements.
- At times, due to excessive placement demands on agencies, placements may not be achievable in the term requested
- Exclusion from clinical/placement may be approved via the PLAR process. Contact cehealth [at] mohawkcollege.ca (cehealth[at]mohawkcollege[dot]ca) for information regarding PLAR for previous work experience.
