Practical Nursing is an Ontario College Diploma program offered at Mohawk's Institute for Applied Health Sciences, located on the McMaster University campus in Hamilton, Ontario. The Practical Nursing program runs for 16 calendar months over 4 semesters.
Practical Nursing with Aboriginal Communities, an Ontario College Diploma program, is offered every second year at Six Nations Polytechnic.
Students in the program will have the opportunity to experience collaborative learning, the learning methodology where students are responsible for their own learning and for contributing to the learning of their peers.

After successful completion of the Practical Nursing diploma program, graduates are eligible to write the Canadian Registered Practical Nurse Examination (CRPNE) which is administered by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
