The CSEP job postings are now closed for the Fall semester. Winter CSEP positions will be posted in late November.
The Campus Student Employment Program (CSEP) aims to connect students with meaningful real work experience on campus. The same standards and requirements are expected from the student/employee and the supervisor as exist in other work environments.
For the Fall semester, 15 hour/week positions are available.
All positions are paid $11.40 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay. Contract dates are indicated on the Confirmation of Hire Form and can be terminated at any time at the discretion of the administrative supervisor. Students are not paid for sick days.
Students will be paid for holidays that fall on days that the student is regularly scheduled to work, while on contract. The holidays include Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, and Thanksgiving. The holidays paid will depend on the contract duration and the regularly scheduled hours for the day.
CSEP students are not eligible for staff discounts for Continuing Education courses.
To be eligible for a CSEP funded position, a student must meet the following criteria:
- For a 15 hour per week position: Registered in Mohawk College in a full-time post-secondary program for the Fall 2016 semester
- International students are eligible to apply for student positions. Contracts are created through the International department.
