Introduction to Online Systems
Get familiar with Mohawk’s online systems where you’ll connect with faculty, staff and fellow students, access your courses, and more.
MyCanvas is Mohawk’s online learning management system and is where you’ll find course materials, assignments, quizzes, grades and more for courses delivered in-person and online through Mohawk College. You can access MyCanvas from within MyMohawk. Visit the MyCanvas Guide for instructions, and the MyCanvas Courses webpage for information on courses with a delivery method of MyCanvas.
Courses delivered through OntarioLearn are a collection of shared online college courses in collaboration with 24 Ontario community colleges. You will access your OntarioLearn course using the OntarioLearn online portal (opens in new window). Tech Support: Mohawk College students have access to computers and Wi-Fi at all campuses and can also borrow laptops and other tech accessories for short or longer use. Our Student Technical Support Team is available via chat, phone, email and in-person. Technical assistance for OntarioLearn courses is available via the OntarioLearn Help Centre (opens in new window).

Student Activities and Services
Counselling Services offers support and skill development to meet academic, career and personal goals. Empower Me, keep.meSAFE, and Good2Talk are resources available 24 hours, 7 days a week for student support. Wellness4U, health promotion team dedicated to providing education on strategies for maintaining the well-being of each student, helps build a healthy campus through interactive activities. Mental Health in Motion, a peer-led group, creates awareness and resources on and off campus to help end the stigma and misconceptions related to Mental Health.

Exemptions and Credit for Prior Learning
You can apply for an exemption for course work completed at Mohawk College or another educational institution that is equivalent to learning required in a specific Mohawk College course. Visit Course Exemptions for more information.
Mohawk College recognizes that college-level learning can take place in a variety of settings, both inside and outside of the traditional classroom. You may be able to earn course credits through the Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition process.

Exams for Online Courses
Many online courses have an in-person exam which will be written at the Fennell Campus. Your instructor will provide you with the details in your course site. If you live more than 100 km from the examination campus and are unable to travel to that location, you can have your exam proctored. Visit Exams for Online Courses for more information.
Receive your Grades
Prepare to Graduate
When you have successfully completed all the courses from your Program of Studies (diploma or certificate) and your final grades have been posted, you can apply to graduate. Visit graduation and convocation for more information. Students completing an Acknowledgement of Completion can apply online for this document.
