The Student Rights and Responsibilities Office works to foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that maximizes opportunities for student success and upholds the rights and responsibilities of the Mohawk College community.
Through a student-focused, collaborative process, we:
- Help students understand and navigate school policies and procedures
- Provide conflict coaching and consultation for students & employees
- Address student behaviour concerns through policy
- Support the resolution of student human rights complaints
- Assist survivors of sexualized violence to understand and explore options
- Connect students with relevant services and supports.

The Student Rights and Responsibilities Office is a resource for all college employees. We can help you identify possible next steps in addressing student behaviour and/or supporting students inside or outside of the classroom.

SRRO Virtual Student Drop-In Hours
Are you dealing with a conflict with a classmate, friend, or a professor and unsure about where to turn? Whether it's a concern about your rights or the question of responsibilities of others, we're here to help. Our 15-minute drop-in meetings offer a quick and confidential space to discuss your issues and explore options. We will help you to navigate your rights and make informed decisions about next steps.
