CCIL – Mohawk College Statement:

CCIL Certified Construction Materials Laboratory

As of 2023, Mohawk College’s construction materials laboratory is a CCIL Certified Laboratory (Type C & D, refer to CCIL website for list of certified test). This means that Mohawk College has demonstrated that the lab facility, lab equipment and testing capability used in research projects meet the construction industry standards. As part of the CCIL Certification Program, Mohawk College was required to have a faculty member and a technologist undergo certification. The certification insures students that they are taught the most current test procedures and using the same lab equipment that is acceptable in the construction industry.

What you'll learn

Learning Outcomes

Program Learning Outcomes, often referred to as ‘Program Standards', set out the essential learning that a student must achieve before being deemed ready to graduate.

In many cases these program learning outcomes were developed by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) in consultation with employers and educators who are experts in the program field. To ensure the outcomes remain current and in line with industry needs, we invite our employers, graduates working in the field and current students to re-examine and update them during regular, ongoing program review focus groups.
