When is the Educational Pathways Fair?

Is the fair an in-person or online event?

The fair will be held in a virtual format again this year.

How can I meet with students to answer their questions?

The fair will be feature live events from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on fair day.

What is the platform for the live events?

Institutions will use the platform of their choice to host a live event. Simply set up your event and use the Content Submission Form to send us the URL/link. We will promote your live event to students in advance of fair day.

What time will live events take place?

Live events will take place between 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Every registered institution is asked to staff their virtual booth through a live event during this time.

What is the format for the live events?

Make a formal presentation, keep it casual, have students drop in to ask questions, or whatever format you prefer. Use the Content Submission Form to describe your event format.

Will students register in advance for the live events?

We will do our best to promote your live event to students in advance of the fair. Not every student will plan ahead and might just drop in the day of the fair and to chat with you. Keep this in mind when setting up your event. Use the Content Submission Form to specify your registration requirements, if any.

What is the registration fee for participating institutions?

For 2022, the registration fee is $100 + HST = $113 per participating institution. This includes the creation of your virtual booth, and promotion of the fair to students, including webinars and other live events. Virtual booths will continue to be open to students through April 2022.

What institutions can register to participate in the fair?

Space is limited so registration for the fair is by invitation only. Articulation partner institutions and publicly funded colleges and universities in Ontario are welcome to transfer [at] mohawkcollege.ca (contact us) for an invitation.

What is the deadline for registration?

Space is limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a popular event that sells out every year so register early to avoid disappointment.

I’ve registered and paid. Now what?

Go to the Content Submission Form and review the elements for your virtual booth. Collect all of your content before you complete the form. You will not be able to save the form and return to it later. Be sure to submit your content by Wednesday,  December 8, 2021.

What is the deadline for content submission?

The deadline for completing your Content Submission Form is Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Do not wait until this date to start working on your content. We require time to build all of the virtual booths so early submission is encouraged and appreciated.

Will I be able to view my virtual booth before the fair?

Yes. Every institution will be asked to review and approve their virtual both before the fair.

When will the event website and virtual booths be available for students?

Promotion to students will begin in early January. Students will know what institutions will be participating and live event details well in advance of the fair so they can plan their day. Virtual booths will open the morning of the fair and remain available through April 2022.

What content is required for the virtual booth?

Collect all of your content before you complete the Content Submission Form. You will not be able to save the form and return to it later. Content submission deadline is December 8, 2021.

  • Institution name – as it should appear on the virtual booth
  • Contact name - for the virtual booth content
  • Contact email - for the virtual booth content
  • About the institution – an overview of your institution (up to 100 words)
  • Pathways information – an overview of pathways at your institution (up to 250 words)
  • Five fast facts about your institution
  • Provide a video url – videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo that belong to your institution’s account (optional)
  • Provide a second video url – (optional)
  • Institution logo – logo must be 400 pixels wide, RGB, and a minimum resolution of 72 pixels per inch up to 150 pixels per inch, one file only, 10 MB limit, allowed types: jpg, png, svg
  • Banner image/photo for the top of booth – provide a photo, not a logo, the banner image must be 1920 pixels wide by 700 pixels high, RGB and a minimum resolution of 72 pixels per inch up to 150 pixels per inch, one file only, 10 MB limit, allowed typed: jpg, png, svg
  • Provide links/urls for pathways resources – transfer policy, transfer pathways, information for transfer students, transfer guide, etc.
  • Institution web site address
  • Institution campus location(s) or address
  • Email address for pathways inquiries
  • Social media account urls
  • Provide any additional contact information
  • Live event information – platform, registration information, url/link
