Jay Mycroft is a graduate from Western Ontario with a degree in Chemistry and a minor in Earth Science. He has also obtained a Bachelor of Education from Brock University. Jay has worked in the Geology Department at Western University, as well as a uranium chemist at Cameco Corporation. Following this, he worked for a number of years for Dofasco Research & Development.  

Jay is a faculty member in the School of Climate Action, and teaches in the Biotechnology, Biotechnology Advanced, Environmental Technician and Chemical Engineering Technology programs. He has been teaching at Mohawk College for 16 years, with a focus on physics, nursing chemistry, general chemistry, instrumental chemistry and analytical chemistry.
