John Corr (PhD) is a Professor in the Communications Department at Mohawk College. He has published academic writing, technical writing, and creative fiction. 

Dr. Corr’s SSHRC-funded doctorate in English and Cultural Studies was earned at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. His SSHRC-funded post-doctoral research was conducted at the TransCanada Institute, University of Guelph. 

Dr. Corr began his teaching career at Mohawk College and has taught rhetoric, technical writing, cultural studies, and literary criticism at several universities in Southern Ontario. He was the first Graduate Writing Consultant in McMaster’s School of Graduate Studies and held the position of Manager, Writing and Study Skills at Wilfrid Laurier University before joining Mohawk College as a full-time professor. 

His debut novel, Eight Times Up, was published by Orca Book Publishers in 2019.
