Julie Scheffel is faculty and the Academic Coordinator of the Child and Youth Care Program. Julie is a proud honors graduate of the Mohawk College Child and Youth Care program and holds a Bachelor of Professional Arts in Human Services from Athabasca University. Julie worked in a variety of roles in the Child and Youth Worker field, including non-profit sectors such as Boys' and Girls' Club, and Big Brothers Big Sisters and schools. Julie engages in on-going professional development including Mental Health First Aid, diversity and inclusion and is a long-standing member of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC.) Julie has been teaching at Mohawk College since 2008.
