My name is Sean Flaherty and I am a Mohawk Alumni and graduate of the Child and Youth Worker program in 1996. Over the course of my 28-year career, I have a wide range of experience in the Field, from Front-line to supervisory roles. In the early 2000's I joined Mohawk College for a few years as a Part-time Field placement Instructor. The last 12 years of my career I spent as a Manager of an Accredited Children's Mental Health Facility, working with Children, youth, and families in a Residential Treatment Program. My current full-time role for the past six years is a Field Placement Specialist in the CYC program, Part-time Faculty full-time CYC, and a Part-time Faculty in Continuing Education here at Mohawk College. I look forward to guiding and mentoring you throughout your journey towards being a highly trained, skilled, and well-rounded CYC.
